NXV-001 Placeshifting

NXVision Placeshifting enables a TV viewer to take their living room experience with them, wherever they are, and watch what they want, live or, pre-recorded on a range of devices.

NXV-001 is a software solution that is easily embedded into set top boxes incorporating current state of art media processors (STi710X or equivalent). The software runs in conjunction with existing content protection and middleware, requiring no additional hardware.

NXV-001 is applicable to any digital TV network and takes broadcast quality audio/video and adapts (Transcodes / Transrates) it to make it suitable for playback on portable devices. The adaption is continually changing to provide the best possible quality. The adapted audio and video is streamed ‘live’ to the portable

device over any suitable broadband network. The software also enables simple transfer of any onscreen information to the portable device.

> Plus the Association Server that is the connection control centre

NXV-001 is quick and easy to deploy using existing infrastructure, systems and devices. One contact point with MIS systems at the STB using existing EPG/VOD system. NXV-001 is designed to be as simple and trouble free as possible.

The Association Server provides access to a range of Brand maintenance (NXV-023) and other Revenue generating services such as Advertising (NXV-021) and Statistics (NXV-022).
