NXVision lanches its new Product Catalogue for 2008/09 at IBC 2008

NXVision Ltd., a provider of secure digital media solutions to business is pleased to announce the launch of their new Product Catalogue for 2008/09 featuring its flagship Placeshifting (NXV-001) and its innovative Sideloading (NXV-002) products.

Catalogue highlights: NXVision Placeshifting (NXV-001) enables users to access their set-top box content (live and pre-recorded) anywhere, in-home or around the world. The system takes broadcast quality TV content and modifies it for display on portable devices and then streams it to an authorised connected device. The system is point to point, allowing full dynamic control of quality of service, and allowing the service to be easily scaled without the need for new broadcast infrastructure.

The NXVision Sideloading (NXV-002) product, launched earlier this week at IBC 2008, Amsterdam, builds on the revolutionary secure digital Placeshifting (NXV-001). Sideloading is as easy as RECORD > PUSH > PLAY. Sideloading provides flexibility and convenience by offering the ability to RECORD TV shows and then have those TV shows automatically and securely PUSHED (transferred) to your mobile device ready for PLAYback as required.

The content is fully protected as Placeshifting (NXV-001) and Sideloading (NXV-002) use the existing Conditional Access (CA) in the STB, and mobile DRM where required, allowing full visibility and control of content movement.

Product options include support for Advertising (NXV-021) or Brand Maintenance (NXV-023).

NXVision supports two quite different hardware options that make use of its Placeshifting (NXV-001) and/or Sideloading (NXV-002) products and options. The NXV-003 Hardware plug-in provides support for legacy set top boxes while NXV-004 gives dedicated tuner/s for mobile TV applications.

In addition to its headline placeshifting and sideloading products NXVision supplies the software for mobile devices, as well as managing the end-to-end system to ensure that it is easy for the end customer to use at all times.
